KNM-ER 3733 is an almost complete cranium, but missing some lateral aspects of the orbits, the zygomatic bones, and the maxilla. Most of the maxillary pre-molars and molars are present, as well as several roots of missing teeth. With an estimated cranial capacity of 850 cc1, the cranium exhibits well-developed temporal lines, a forward-projecting (though thin) supraorbital torus with a pronounced supratoral sulcus, and moderate postorbital constriction2. In addition, the frontal is low and receding, the nasal aperture is relatively wide, just as the interorbital region is relatively broad2.
